Nikolay is one of our newer colleagues who started about one year ago. He has shown tremendous motivation and willingness to learn and help the team. Тhat’s why we want to share his ITIDO journey with you and show how his first days at the company went.
I’m excited to share with you my journey from the interview process to my first working day at this amazing company.
As a recent hire, I know how nerve-wracking and exciting it can be to start a new job, and I hope my story can help others who are going through the same experience.
First impressions
The interview process included technical tasks that challenged me. However, it was also rewarding as I managed to pass the test and in the process I got to know my future colleagues. From the first phone call to the final interview, I was impressed by the team’s professionalism and friendliness. They asked thoughtful questions and made me feel at ease, which allowed me to showcase my skills in the best possible way. I was impressed by how well-organized the process was, and how efficiently the company was able to move through the different stages of the interview process.
When I received the job offer for a software development position in one of ITIDO’s major accounts, I was thrilled. And of course I immediately grabbed the opportunity.
I felt ready and excited to start my first day on the job. The team had prepared everything for me, from my workstation to my email account and company badge. They had also assigned me a buddy. This is a veteran employee who helped me navigate the first few days.
I was greeted warmly by everyone on the team. They introduced themselves and gave me a brief overview of their roles and responsibilities. My manager walked me through my job responsibilities once again and answered any questions I had.
I was given a tour of the office and was introduced to other teams in the company.
A culture of learning
Throughout my first week, I was given a series of on-the-job trainings, which helped me to get up to speed quickly. I was given access to the company’s resources, such as online training programs and reference materials, which helped me to understand the company’s services and processes.
The company’s culture is also friendly, inclusive, and collaborative, which made me feel welcomed and excited to be part of the team. And I can see how hard we all work towards keeping that culture alive. Despite our hybrid working model, we gather at the office regularly. For example, every month we come together for our knowledge sharing sessions “Next Level Play” over pizza and beer. We also regularly play football and go out for a drink.
In conclusion, my journey from the interview process to my first working day was a fantastic experience. I am impressed by the welcoming and inclusive company culture. I’m thrilled to be part of this team and look forward to contributing to the company’s success.
If you’re currently going through a similar experience, my advice is to be yourself, showcase your skills and experience, and ask questions. Starting a new job can be daunting, but with the right attitude and support, it can also be an exciting and rewarding experience.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I wish you all the best in your career journey.
