Nexmo is a business unit of Vonage that develops and markets communication APIs to enable developers and businesses to rapidly innovate the way they communicate with their customers. Nexmo tear down the barriers to entry so that any developer can reach a global audience from day 1 and enable businesses to create customer experiences so they can delight their customers.
Their challenge:
Nexmo approached us with the idea to build an interface which connects Nexmo with Mailchimp database. The integration automatically to sync all events in Mailchimp database with the Nexmo communication platform.
Technical challenge:
- At this time scheduling an events in Nexmo platform was still not implemented.
- Deep technical knowledge in communication platforms and eCommerce. The integration goal was to allow many eCommerce platform to sync their databases in a real time with Mailchimp and Nexmo. The supported platforms for version 1 were: Sitecore, Magento, Shopify, Opencart and WordPress.
- Nexmo wanted to reduce the technical risk by using a partner with previous experiance in such integrations.
The solution:
The domain knowledge in Voice & SMS as well as eCommerce helped us to plan and execute the integration in the right way.
- Building the right team for the project and establishing a close connection with the stakeholders of the project. Nexmo had a chance to meet our team and discuss on a daily basis all technical aspects of the integration.
- Reducing the technical debt by automating the process of development and deployment and creating reusable components.
- Our goal was to not only do the job on-time and within the budget but also building a long-term vision for a future development.
